Fighting game legend Harada expressed disbelief at how definitively Heihachi Mishima was dispatched, prompting Tekken 8 to bring back the formidable father figure once more.
Heihachi Mishima, whose heart ceased after a powerful kick to the chest, is making a comeback in Tekken 8 later this year as a downloadable content (DLC) character. In the previous installment, Tekken 8 was introduced, and renowned series creator Katsuhiro Harada remarked on how convincingly Heihachi had been eliminated. The character was struck down and cast into a volcano by Kazuya, ensuring a dramatic end.
Just over a year later, it turns out Heihachi is set to return to Tekken 8 as a DLC character. The storyline for Tekken 8 continues to evolve, as highlighted by an announcement tweet from Bandai Namco, which emphasizes that the saga of the 'King of Iron Fist Resurrection' is far from concluded, with Heihachi back in action despite past events.
The recent trailer for Tekken 8 teases significant advancements in the game's narrative. The current DLC characters, Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska, along with Reina, who hints at imminent developments, are expected to play pivotal roles in the unfolding story.
Heihachi's return follows the excitement of Evo 2024, where Tekken 8 was a major attraction at the fighting game event.
